Zhongyuan Liu (Lock)
Initiator of the BST AI Project at LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS
Zhongyuan Liu (Lock) is the initiator of the BST AI Project at LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS and formerly led the scene layout initiative at Tencent Games Advanced Technology Center. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the School of Architectural Art at Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, followed by a Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China under the supervision of Professor Ligang Liu. His work spans architectural art, computational mathematics, computer graphics, and game development, driven by one central question: how can human intention, aesthetics, and experience be translated into worlds that can be computed, generated, and inhabited?
His practice began in architecture, public art, and digital fabrication. He contributed to large-scale 3D-printed architecture certified by Guinness World Records and conducted research in robotic fabrication, computational geometry, and intelligent manufacturing. More recently, his work has expanded to generative AI, 3D scene understanding, material generation, spatial layout, and multi-agent collaboration. His research has appeared at ACM SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia, ACM Transactions on Graphics (TOG), ECCV, AAAI, IEEE TVCG, Computers & Graphics, Pacific Graphics, and SPM.
In games, he advances multi-agent scene design and AI-native game production: enabling agents to begin with creative intent and experience goals, then coordinate gameplay, narrative, visuals, space, engineering, automated testing, and iterative improvement. He also turns the tacit judgment of expert game creators and artists into abilities that AI can learn, invoke, and continuously evolve. The goal is not merely to imitate finished works, but to reconstruct the “below-the-waterline” process through which creators shape experience.
He describes this long-term direction as AGI for Game Experience: enabling AI not only to make games, but to understand what makes them fun, why they are compelling, and how an experience moves people. He believes future content will no longer be a fixed work completed in advance, but an interactive world that humans and intelligent agents create together and continually evolve—AI expands the power of human expression, while people determine the world's meaning and soul.

Guan Wang (Can) is an urban designer and photographer with expertise in digital art and computational design. She received her Bachelor's degree from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts and Master's degree from Newcastle University.
As a city planner with an artistic vision, Can integrates photography and digital techniques into her urban design practice. her work explores the relationship between built environments, digital spaces, and human experience.
Currently, Can is focused on exploring and investing in AI games. She is committed to discovering innovative applications of artificial intelligence in interactive entertainment and supporting promising developments in this rapidly evolving field.
